CHASE center was established in 2012 to provide the University with a physical and intellectual environment necessary for interdisciplinary hardware-oriented research and applications to meet the challenges of the future in the field of assurance and security. The goal was to create a center of excellence that provides opportunities for interdisciplinary research and educational programs and activities responsive to changing technology and the needs of society.
CHASE has dedicated research and administrative space in the new “Information Technology Building” built as part of the 10-year, $1 billion State of Connecticut-funded capital improvement program. The support staff, responsible for providing the services necessary to carry out the mission of CHASE, includes software and hardware specialists, and administrative support personnel funded through internal and external sources. The research staff, on the other hand, is composed of faculty, visiting researchers, and graduate and undergraduate students.
If you need any information about CHASE membership benefits, and ongoing projects and activities, please feel free to contact CHASE’s interim director, Prof. John A. Chandy.
